Douglas Sherron, President/CEO
Doug is a third-generation native of Hollywood Florida. He grew up sailing, surfing, fishing and diving in the Bahamas and the Florida Keys. He also attended parochial schools just often enough to graduate from high school in Hollywood. He went on to further his education and graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators). Achieving his 100-ton United States Coast Guard captain’s license at an early age, he worked as a yacht charter captain and racing skipper during his time off in high school and college. After college he started the yacht charter/management company called Tropical Diversions Yacht Services Inc. when TD was born. The traveling necessary required a private plane so naturally Doug earned a pilot’s license as well. This led to the purchase and leasing of several airplanes and started Tropical Diversions Air Inc. which services the southeast with the majority of the flights to the Bahamas based at Fort Lauderdale international Airport. With all these boats and planes it was necessary to have a base in the Bahamas. This led to the development of Tropical Diversions Bahamas Limited which was a beach resort and Marina based in Great Harbour Cay, Berry Islands, Bahamas. During all of this organic growth, TD medical Inc. was born. Doug has never looked back. Doug continues to serve his beloved community of Hollywood, Florida, participting on many Boards that serve to maintain the uniqueness of the area. Doug also serves on Boards that ensure his clientele (patients) are treated fairly and receive the care they so desperately need in these difficult times, realizing healthcare is not something accessible to people everywhere. Doug can often be heard saying “when you lose your mobility, you’ve lost a lot”. He’s made it a personal mission to make that journey bearable for everyone it affects easier on everyone he can.
Stephanie Vesotsky, Director of Operations
Stephanie was born, raised and educated in sunny South Florida. She was originally part of the TD Yacht Charter Management division almost 20 years ago coordinating private yachting vacations to and from Bahamas and all across the Caribbean. Within no time she began assisting with TD Yacht Service division for the maintenance and upkeep of these privately owned charter yachts getting first-hand knowledge and hands on experience in ordering parts and maintaining the accounts. Occasionally she herself would be part of the crew on various private charters as a deck mate or chef mate. In addition to the Yacht Charters, Stephanie also helped out with the Private Bungalow rentals in the Berry Island for our TD Bahamas Resort division, coordinating special events, from fishing or snorkeling excursions to private beach front weddings and could even handle all your flight arrangements thru TD Air which was our privately owned air charter operation.
She started working with TD Medical part time back in 1997 as the company increased its clientele and growth, assisting with daily operations and phones all while continuing her work in the Yacht Charter community. She knew nothing about DME billing or mobility devices and spent much time in online community training and seminars. Upon witnessing her first pediatric wheelchair delivery she turned in her sandals and sails for wheelchairs and HCPCS. She has acquired a vast knowledge of the industry, equipment manufacturers, Medicare/Medicaid and Insurance billing standards, even hands on technical repairs, over the past 20 years. She is very active in the community and participates in many of the TD supported programs.
